From the beginning of Alberto Brandis artistic activity design and painting have been the media through which the anguishes and the not always easy relationships of human beings and animals with time and space have been communicated.
The world in which one lives, feelings, doubts, the visible and invisible links among human beings and objects, the great landscapes, mysteries, tender characters or the tender side of every being, surprise with its thousand ways of presenting itself, the human body with its deformities and its needs, etc., all that is present in his works.
At the beginning of the 1980s his figurative world was replaced by a new line of work, this time abstract, that had as an origin the fight of tensions stemming from a conception of water in movement.
At the beginning of 2005, after 20 years of search, the human figures have once more presented themselves, at first shyly, and a little while after, with greater reassurance (solidity?)through a gallery of characters (expressionist, caricatures) that show us the everyday world and the reactions that it provokes in us.
